After several wonderful years of running TOPUP TRUCK, as you may know, I had to pause in order to take a breath whilst my mum’s health was deteriorating rapidly with Dementia. Having been through exactly the same with my dad at the end of his life a few years ago, it hit me hard!
The business had its highest sales just before this happened, having just completed a huge round of improvements to the service, but was also in financial difficulty.
I have been down in West Sussex with my mum, and her situation continues to worsen. With a heavy heart, I decided that there is no choice but to close TOPUP TRUCK as me driving it out of insolvency is incompatible with me dealing with my mum’s ever-worsening condition.
A plan to sell the business almost came to fruition, but unfortunately fell through at the last hurdle.
I’m hopeful there might be someone out there amongst the customer base and network who sees potential in continuing the service and wishes to buy the assets.
The amazing team built a values-led brand with 10k Instagram followers, a professionally designed custom wesite, a loyal customer base and a set of well designed systems and processes in the back end. I’d love to see the work live on in some form, rather than be broken up for parts. 💔
