Hello 👋

Many of you are asking how Im getting on and what Im up to 😊 I am good thank you! I hope you are all well? I miss seeing everyone and the blethers we had. I have been enjoying having some time to myself, going for long walks with my spaniels. I even managed to get myself away and had a great holiday travelling to Italys coast and cities 🥰

Lochgilphead has changed and running a business in town has it challenges. I have lost so much this year already, I need to take this on board and make the right decision as a business and for my mental health too. I know the community are behind me and I cannot express how much this means to me. ❤️

Im not quite ready to put roots down yet but I am looking to do some market research to help me decide on opening another coffee shop in town.

I know its crying out for an evening venue but Ill be honest, I tried and it wasnt busy enough. So this isnt going to be an option going forward. Sorry...

What Im looking for is to stand out from other cafes and have local input.

Id love to be able to let our furry friends in the cafe again, the heart of my business aswell as great coffee and cakes of course 🐾❤️

Somewhere folk can bring their laptop and have internet access to do some work was also asked alot and never available.

What else would you like to see brought to/offered within the cafe for the community?

Sorry folks we wont be open tomorrow.

We have officially packed up, cleaned & left the MACPool Activity Hub the end....

Just want to thank everyone for their support, flowers and cards. We loved having a blether with our customers old and new, will miss you all very much 💔

Hello,

This is not an easy post and feels very raw as it wasnt that long ago we were sharing the news on closing our original cafe.

Our last day at the macpool activity hub will be Sunday 16th August.

I would like to thank my staff for all their hard work over the years and to our customers who come in to support us day in, day out.

Thank you all for your support and kind words over the last 6 weeks while we come to terms with the news of our notice.

I have decided for now to take a break from catering, to have some time to reflect and decide on what the future holds.

I am extremely sorry to announce that the salty_dog_cafe_macpool will be closing within the next 3 months at the MACPool Activity Hub Boards request.

If I had been aware this was on the horizon I would not have closed the cafe on Lochnell Street. Leaving another property empty in Lochgilphead.

I would like to thank all of our regular customers for their support and blethers over the past 3 years.

I will hopefully see you in my next venture, whatever that is...

The cafe will be closed Thursday 2nd July to allow us to send Breagha over the rainbow bridge 🌈 🐾

Breagha isnt just a dog she's part of the family and she played a massive part in the making of The Salty Dog Cafe 🐾

Thank you to everyone for their patience and kindness today while it was very busy under circumstances beyond our control.

Lastly we will be closed on Mondays for the forseeable.
