The beacon is open serving hot food and drinks today and tomorrow 11am to 3pm.

The cafe closes this Saturday 3pm for a couple of weeks giving the volunteers some time off before our end of summer revamp.

The beacon will not open this Thursday, we have decided to visit our oldest volunteer and spend the day celebrating her turning 99years.

We do apologize for the inconvenience caused and we will open 11am Friday serving hot food and drinks.

Something you could handle easily might be the thing that completely overwhelms someone else, and something they barely think twice about might be incredibly difficult for you. Pain doesn’t need to be compared before we’re allowed to feel it. Nobody should have to prove they’re struggling enough to deserve a little understanding. You never really know how much someone is carrying just because they’re still managing to carry it.
