Over the next few weeks, we’re introducing some of the wonderful people who make each stay so special.

Meet Elaine from Polochar Inn ✨

Elaine is the General Manager at the inn and has returned for another season after previously working with the team. When she’s not welcoming guests, you’ll likely find her exploring some of her favourite local spots, looking across to Barra and watching the sunsets from the front of the hotel.

Elaine has lived on South Uist for 7.5 years and the Polochar Inn has always been a special place for her, from popping in for a coffee, drink or meal to now working at the Inn.

What Elaine loves most about working here is she meets people from all over the world and is able to share their love of Uist and give them ideas on where locally to visit.
