There’s been an extraterrestrial being in the pub this evening! Tessara-X came to explore and have a look at all our local produce and has returned home to Crymychara with a full belly ready for bed.

🍔🔥 SMASH BURGER SEASON IS HERE 🔥🍔
Our smash burgers are made using top-quality local beef from Craig the Farmer, who rears his cattle just up the road right here in West Wales.
Fresh, local, and packed with flavour – they're everything a proper burger should be. 🤤
And if you've ever wondered where that quality comes from, you'll have the chance to meet the man himself!
🐄 Craig the Farmer will be at Skippers this Thursday afternoon, selling his fantastic local produce and chatting all things farming and food.
Come down for a smash burger, support local farming, and see why we're proud to use beef that's raised right on our doorstep.
📍 Skippers, Tresaith

A small change to VAT for hospitality would make a massive difference

The hospitality sector has come together to launch – a united campaign and petition calling for hospitality VAT to be reduced from 20% to 10%.

Spearheaded by chef and publican Tom Kerridge, we’re working alongside trade bodies across the sector, such as and , hospitality communities like , and you, businesses across hospitality, to say 10% VAT is fair for hospitality.

Our sector pays too much tax, and VAT is the single biggest lever the Government can pull to support venues, our customers, our high streets and our local communities.

This campaign is for everyone: businesses, customers, waiting staff, chefs, kitchen porters, bar staff, hotel teams, farmers, brewers, suppliers and producers.

Like, sign the petition and share this post – we need your support to reach a million signatures.

Go Ben

🚴‍♂️ SKIPPERS CYCLE CHALLENGE 🚴‍♂️
Ben and a few of the Skippers locals are taking on a massive challenge — cycling 100 miles from Monmouth all the way back home to Skippers, Tresaith in just ONE day! 💪🔥
The ride is all in aid of the amazing DPJ Foundation, raising money for a fantastic cause that does incredible work supporting mental health and wellbeing across Wales 💙
It’s going to be a long, tough day in the saddle with plenty of hills, tired legs and sore backsides along the way… but the team are ready to give it everything they’ve got!
We’d love for everyone to get behind the boys by donating, sharing the post and cheering them on from the sidelines 🍻
More details, training updates and donation information coming soon 👀
Let’s show what the Skippers community can do ❤️
