Look, I know you shouldn’t have favourites but Jon Snow is my baby. He managed to injure himself somehow and he was lame on his front right leg.

We tried everything to help him in the first instance but then we had to involve our wonderful vets.

There was a point at which I thought it wasn’t just his foot, he went off his food and water. I thought he was going to die. I sat in the field with him one morning just blubbing.

At the same time, Paddy started to be ill too. Our vet is amazing but all of this involved me injecting Paddy and Jon for several days … after Gary and Corey had restrained them of course.

Jon got so skittish, I had to hide the syringe from him because he knew. He’s very clever.

This photo is from today. They’re all healthy and happy and thank goodness for that. Long may it continue 🥰

Today we said goodbye to our lovely Doris 💔🐰

She became unwell, and although we set off early to get her to the vet, she went downhill very quickly and passed away in Jaz’s arms on the way.

We’re heartbroken. Sharing life with animals brings so much joy, but saying goodbye never gets any easier.

Doris (named after Doris Day) was part of our Fork Handles Farm family, and she’ll be very much missed. I’m glad she was being held by someone who loved her at the end. Now she’ll be playing over the rainbow with her best pal Delilah 🌈

Sleep peacefully, sweet Doris, you were loved right until the very end 🤍

Experimenting with mealtimes. This is one pot cooking. I’m all for it on occasion.
