Brand-new and out today ✨ Our new, limited edition ceramic salt jar is perfectly pale green, circled with seahorses and shells and made in collaboration with the magical Susan Williams-Ellis Foundation.

The Welsh icon and founder of Portmeirion Pottery (if you don’t have her Botanical collection, you certainly know someone who does) has had our heart for a long time and we’re so pleased to be able to celebrate her work with our latest jar.

Make sure to order your limited edition jar, there’s a link in our bio to take a look.

Rare and Forgotten: Slow Food Cymru Wales and the Ark of Taste Abergavenny Food Festival tomorrow!

Some of the most extraordinary foods in Wales are disappearing – victims of industrial agriculture, climate change, and the slow erosion of tradition. The Ark of Taste exists to save them: a global catalogue of small-scale, quality food products worth protecting, preserving and passing on.

Join Slow Food Cymru Wales to explore what’s at risk, what’s worth fighting for, and how we might keep these culinary treasures alive for future generations. In a world dominated by ultra-processed everything, this is a timely reminder of what real food can taste like.

From our new book ‘The Coastal Almanac’ ✨ an essential seasonal guide to the year’s coastal wonders, full of useful tips, insights, spotters guides and, of course, perfectly seasoned recipes.

We’re sharing a little taster, the prettiest shortbread biscuits, Bisgedi Aberffraw, with plenty of sea salt for depth.

For the last year or so I have been working with some of my favourite people - chefs, nature experts, photographers and writers - on a very lovely project, and that project is out today.

Since medieval times, an almanac has been something that predicts, packed with planetary alignments, lucky days, and instructions for you to follow. My new book, The Coastal Almanac, celebrates the turning of the seasons by the sea, offering ways to mark, notice and appreciate them, with a focus on Ynys Môn.

A few people have received their copies early, and it’s been so lovely to see their reactions,Ynys Môn is a very special place to so many people.

There’s a link in our bio to get yourself a copy, and if you buy one directly from our website, the first 40 orders will receive a free postcard set.

With massive thanks to Jim Marsden , Anna Shepherd El Kemp David Lea-Wilson Jake Welbeck Illustrated Joe McLaren Krisztina Dekany and plenty more who I am sure I have forgotten ….

Best seafood on Anglesey? Visitors to our Saltcote often ask us where they can find a fishmonger near us in North Wales to cook delicious, seasonal seafood at home.

The waters around us here on Ynys Môn are well known for producing some exceptional seafood. The Menai Strait, which separates the island from the mainland, is particularly famous for its plump, flavoursome mussels, while oysters are also grown along the North Wales coast. Add locally landed crab, lobster and fresh fish to the mix, and it’s easy to see why this part of Wales is such a treat for seafood lovers. Find our guide over on on blog, there’s a link up top.
