The post nobody likes writing and nobody particularly likes reading 🙈

Unfortunately, we’re having to make a few small changes to our prices.
We’ve held off for as long as we possibly can, but the cost of running a chippy seems to have one hobby lately… GOING UP! 🤦‍♀️

Fish, potatoes, oil, packaging, electricity you name it, it’s gone up. We’ll always do our very best to keep our prices as fair as we can, while still giving you the same quality, decent portions and good food you expect from us. ❤️
We know everyone has their own bills going up too, which is exactly why decisions like this are never taken lightly.

Most importantly, THANK YOU. ❤️
Every order, every share, every recommendation and every person who walks through our door helps keep our little independent chippy going. We genuinely appreciate every single one of you. 🥰

🚨 STAFF ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

After 11 years of training, the Mini Boss has officially clocked out of Not Mel’s Chippy and clocked into Year 7. 🎒😂
Today our little Boss Lady starts comprehensive school! 🥹

She’s swapped chips for textbooks, the chippy counter for a classroom and bossing us around for, well, probably bossing a whole new group of people around. 😂

We couldn’t be prouder of you, Faith. ❤️

Go smash your first day, be yourself and enjoy every minute of this next chapter.

Don’t worry everyone she’ll still be back at the chippy regularly to make sure we’re all doing our jobs properly. 👀😂

Good luck to all the other new Year 7s starting their big adventure too! ❤️🎒 And to all the other little ones going back to school.

September has arrived. 🍂

Kids are heading back to school.
Routine is returning.
And somewhere in Carmarthenshire, someone is already wondering what they’re having for tea.

We’re not saying it should be fish & chips…

But we’re also not NOT saying it. 👀😂

You’ve survived the summer holidays. Surely you’ve earned one night where nobody asks you what’s for tea, nobody complains about what you’ve made, and the only washing up required is putting the forks in the dishwasher. 😂

A couple of days away from the fryers, making memories and no doubt being bossed around by the actual boss. 😂
