✨ In the Gallery – Yvette Brown's Pewter Pieces ✨

We’re delighted to be stocking the truly stunning pewter work of Yvette Brown here at Gallery Art + Coffee. Pewter is a quietly beautiful metal — subtle, pliable, and capable of wonderfully crisp detail — and Yvette uses it with real skill and imagination.

Her charming little pewter people and birds, often set running across pieces of driftwood gathered from local West Wales beaches, are full of warmth and gentle storytelling. Each piece begins in a hand-cut plywood mould, and there’s still a sense of magic when a perfect form is revealed — something you can feel in the finished work.

Inspired by the illustrations from the children’s books she loved growing up, Yvette’s pieces carry a comforting sense of innocence and nostalgia, while being firmly rooted in the landscape around us.

Come and see them in person — they’re the kind of pieces that invite you to pause, smile, and look a little closer.
