📞 Phone lines down AGAIN! 📞

Once again the saga of the phone line continues. For some reason our phone lines are down once again. We apologise for any inconvenience for anyone trying to get through to us. We still have internet, so anyone trying to get through to us please contact us on messenger while we try to resolve the situation.

We’re taking a few days to do a little maintenance on the business and on ourselves.

We’ll be back open on Tuesday 18th October as usual.

❄️Winter opening hours ❄️

As of today onwards, we’ll be reverting to winter opening hours. Not a decision we wanted to make this early in the year but with the recent electric bill that’s come through and our bills from October onwards being set to increase by a further 400%, there’s simply no way we can maintain the opening hours.

It’s been a rough few months with the phone company knocking out our phone line for four weeks and refusing to pay any form of compensation or damages, potential attempted arson on the business, and now energy bills that no business could ever realistically afford.

We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time and we hope that each and every one of us can ride out the storm together.

Our hours from now on;

Lunch 12-3 (Tues - Sat)
Evening 5-9 (Fri + Sat Only)

Sun + Mon (Closed)

📞 The phone saga 📞

So after weeks of stress, engineers being sent to the wrong address, equipment being sent to completely incorrect businesses…

Our phone lines are back up and running!

We realise not everyone is on Facebook but we’d like to apologise to all those who have tried to contact us in the last month. We hope that soon word will get round that our phone lines were down and we weren’t ignoring people.

Our answering machine isn’t the best on the new phone so please bare with us if you leave a message and it takes us a while to get back to you.

Thank you to all those who’ve been so supportive of us the last few weeks and to other small businesses we’d simply say this, don’t upgrade to fibre optic just yet, it’s a nightmare!

📞 Still no phone lines 📞

As of yet we still have no phone lines here at Bistro Bach (which also means no internet or card machines). Obviously this has been catastrophic for us given that we are now in our third week of this.

Just to let people know, the latest update we’ve been given is that they’ll be out to fix the lines on the 14th of this month.

We realise that when you call the Bistro that people are being met with “please leave a message” as the response on the phone. We have no idea why the phone company has set it to this response as we cannot receive your messages. We promise we’re not ignoring you.

📞 We’re trying 📞

We’re not usually ones for posting much on social media but this week has been a challenging week all round.

Unfortunately our phone and internet lines are still down with no clue as to when this will be fixed.

The week hasn’t been made any better by the fact that we had to close on Tuesday to repair damage due to vandals ripping the wallpaper off the bathroom walls.

To end this week off, we’ve arrived today to discover that someone set our flower boxes on fire during the night.

We’ve had a lot of people coming in frustrated as to why we’re not returning their calls. We realise this is an inconvenience all round. We’ve lost thousands in revenue this bank holiday weekend due to all the problems we’ve faced this past week.

It all feels a little hopeless at the moment but we want to thank our locals and regulars who’ve been so supportive during this difficult week.

Especially a big thank you to Mrs Hollinshead who saw us looking a little defeated this morning and took the time to return with a lovely bunch of flowers to lift our spirits.

Thank you to all who’ve been there for us and been understanding this past week ❤️

📞 Phone Lines Still Down 📞

We cannot apologise enough to everyone who has been trying to contact us the last few days. Our phone lines are still down, we promise we are not ignoring you.

As you can imagine this fault from the phone company is costing us thousands and causing so much frustration with our customers. Please be patient with us while we try to get this resolved.

Once again, our phone lines have been accidentally knocked out again. This means we are unable to take calls or card payments.

Please bare with us why we do our best to work around this problem.

Phone line may be out until Thursday. We ask that customers already booked in to dine with us being cash as we currently cannot take care payments. Many apologies for the inconvenience.

Openreach have been out and fixed the problem. Phone and internet back up and running again.

We’re still having ongoing issues with an external fault to our phone lines and internet.

Open reach are trying to fix the problem but it could take as long as two days.

Until this is fixed we are completely unable to take card payments so therefore will have to be cash only.

Apologies for the inconvenience this may cause people.
