🍽️ Chef Wanted – Join the Team at The White Lion

Location: The White Lion
Position: Chef / Line Chef
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time (flexible depending on the candidate)

We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Chef to join our friendly team at The White Lion. If you enjoy working in a busy kitchen, creating great food, and being part of a supportive family run and owned pub environment, we’d love to hear from you.

🔪 Responsibilities

* Preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard
* Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen
* Assisting with menu preparation and daily specials
* Managing stock and ensuring food safety standards are met
* Working efficiently during busy service times

👨‍🍳 What We’re Looking For

* Previous chef or kitchen experience preferred
* Passion for good quality pub food
* Ability to work well under pressure
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Knowledge of food hygiene standards

To really appreciate just how pretty Glan yr Afon is , take yourself up on the hill over the stile on the the public footpath and look down at the stone cottages and pub.
It’s so very pretty

So our first weekend back open has drawn to a close over Glan yr Afon.
We are so very proud of Matty and the girls for working their socks over a very busy few days.
Thank you to everyone who came in to support the old place it means a lot to us all as so
many of our pubs are closing all over Wales, others shut with little chance of re opening so with this in mind we must
“ Use them or lose them “.

We are back open on Thursday for food and drinkies so we hope to see the lovely customers back again( any serial moaners can stay at home please ).
