It's been a busy day at The Barn today!
This evening we had a German Night where the Barn, Mosswood & Soul Food volunteers came together with West Lothian German Youth Exchange 🇩🇪
Our fantastic team have been donating money, this time for one of our young volunteers, so that she can be part of the youth exchange.
Incredibly, not only has the money been raised for her to go and spending money for her while there but also additional money so that gifts can be bought for the hosting families 🤩
As you can see, it has been a fun filled night and will be an amazing opportunity for such a deserving young lady 🖤❤💛

Mosswood community cafe open today 10am - 1pm
😋 Today we have some delicious (even of I say so myself) Cherry & Coconut Scones ⭐

Tonight @ 5pm is Soul Food, on the menu today we have smoked sausage pasta & chocolate bread and butter pudding with custard! Free for the entire community. Be sure to phone to book a place :)

This morning, some of the volunteers that were involved in the pantomime (Aladdin: A Game Of Two Halves) went to South Queensferry RNLI to hand over the money raised. 🚤
We were shown a presentation, around the station, locker room & onto the life boat by the lovely volunteers/staff at the station who were very welcoming!
In total we raised £1592.92 for the RNLI (enough to train another person to be part of their fantastic team)
Then we enjoyed coffee & cake at The Railbridge Bar & Bistro ☕
One of the many perks to our job 😊 our own volunteers are incredible! Thank you everyone ❤

This is a week of celebrating volunteers - and I absolutely believe that volunteers are to be celebrated! The barn cafe at carmondean, mosswood and soul food meals would not be happening without the fabulous team of volunteers we have! I will try and post photos as I find them....we will also be celebrating our 5th birthday next month, maybe there will be cake?!
