A little while ago, we posted a video about how the road closures around us were affecting business.
Honestly, we didnāt expect much from it.
The main reason we posted was simply to remind people that we were still open. With so many roads closed around the area, we realised that some people were assuming the businesses on the street were closed too.
Then something happened that we really didnāt expect.
The video started taking off online, and before we knew it, Edinburgh Live had written an article about what was happening here.
We were incredibly grateful for the coverage, but what meant even more to us was what happened afterwards.
The following weekend, both our upstairs and downstairs were packed, and the delivery orders were flying out.
For a small family business, itās difficult to put into words what that means.
Weāve been here since the 1990s and, over the years, weāve experienced plenty of ups and downs. Weāve always been incredibly proud of the food we serve and the quality we try to maintain, so seeing so many new faces coming through the doors and supporting us was genuinely special.
It was a real reminder that behind every small local business are people and families who care deeply about what they do.
To everyone who came in after seeing the video, shared it, tagged someone, ordered a takeaway, or simply told someone about us, thank you.
It honestly meant more than you probably realise.
And if you came along, weād love to hear what you thought of the food.
Thank you for supporting a local family business.
