Honestly, we're a little overwhelmed.

When we started bringing Welcome Walkies back to life a few weeks ago, we hoped people would support us...

But we never imagined we'd receive over 60 bookings before we've even properly opened!

From every like, share, comment, recommendation and booking, thank you. It genuinely means the world to us.

Welcome Walkies has always been about more than just a dog field. It's about supporting a local family-run business, helping secure the future of our amazing Welcome team, and creating something special for local dog owners and their dogs.

The field is still a work in progress, and we know there's lots more to do, but thanks to your support we're already able to start planning the next improvements and features.

We're incredibly excited to welcome our first visitors and hear your feedback as we continue to grow and improve.

🎉🐾 IT’S HAPPENING… WELCOME WALKIES OPENS SUNDAY 7TH JUNE! 🐾🎉

After years of ideas, months of planning and a lot of hard work over the last few weeks…

Welcome Walkies is officially opening on Sunday 7th June! ❤️

This will be our Soft Launch, which means while the field is secure, ready to use and packed full of fun for your dogs, we’ll continue improving and developing it over the coming weeks and months.

To help us keep things simple and ensure every visitor has the best possible experience, we’ll initially be offering 1-hour private hire sessions only.

🐾 £12 per hour for up to 2 dogs
🐾 Additional dogs £2 each per hour

As a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us so far, we’re also offering 50% OFF ALL BOOKINGS during our first week!

Exciting news 🥰

🐾 THE START OF WELCOME WALKIES 🐾

This photo was taken almost 3 years ago, standing in a field with an idea I was so excited about… creating a secure dog field for local dogs and owners to enjoy. ❤️

Somewhere between then and now, the field was enclosed with 6ft deer fencing, plans were made, ideas grew… and then life got in the way, I had unfortunate health issues, my motivation disappeared and the project was put on hold.

Honestly, I nearly gave up on it completely.

But over the last 3 weeks, family, friends and our beloved loyal customers have given me a boost of inspiration and something sparked again, so I’ve thrown myself back into creating what I originally imagined — a fun, safe and secure dog field that not only dogs can enjoy, but that also helps support our family-run partnership pub, Welcome Stranger, during difficult times for local businesses.

As many people know, pubs across the UK are struggling, and we want to do everything we can to continue growing, adapting and supporting our amazing team and community. ❤️

Animals have always been a huge passion of mine, so bringing Welcome Walkies to life finally feels like the right step forward.

This won’t be a perfect polished launch — and I want to be honest about that from the start. It’s still a work in progress, but every day we’re getting closer.

🌞 Bank Holiday Monday at The Welcome Stranger 🌞

Make the most of the long weekend with us!

Serving our main menu until 20:00, we’ll have also have our delicious 2 meat roast lunch available with a choice of beef or pork — subject to availability, so get in early if you fancy one 🍽️

The bouncy castle will be up for the kids, the beer garden will be open, and we’ll have some background music playing to keep those bank holiday vibes going 🍻🎶

And of course, we’re dog friendly, so your four-legged friends are welcome too 🐾

May Bank Holiday Weekend at the Welcome Stranger, Liverton🌞

And that’s a wrap! ✅

The painting is finished, the new signage is up, and the Welcome Stranger facelift is officially complete.

We’re so pleased with how it’s all come together — fresh, tidy, and looking much more like the pub we’ve been picturing in our heads for months.

Now to stand back, admire it for approximately five minutes… and then move on to the next task 😂
