Harvest in parts of Peru looks to be moving a little earlier this year.
At the moment, we’re still expecting most coffees to be ready around October / November as normal, but some first cherry microlots from higher elevations, alongside full harvest microlots and larger volume blender lots from lower elevations, are looking likely for July / August.
If blenders are of interest now would be a good time to think about a price and quantity. As the c-market is dropping and we think it’ll drop a little further, starting this conversation early can be useful for every part of the supply chain.
Going into our fifth harvest, one thing we’ve come to appreciate is the strength of the network around us. Over the years we’ve worked with more than 55 cooperatives, associations, farms, and producer groups across Peru, giving us the ability to have direct conversations throughout the supply chain and better relay the considerations, challenges, and priorities of roasters back to origin.
Alongside this, financing is one aspect we’re able to offer now, we export and import ourselves and all are available to use as services for your operation.
Let us know what you’re looking for and we can see what’s available.
