We honestly don't know what to say other than thank you.

The guys in HadroS could have simply played another gig. Instead, they have actively gone out of their way to organise a night dedicated to supporting The Wellington.

They've brought together Dropstitch and Spitfyre, helped promote the event, and asked people to come together to support a grassroots music venue they believe is worth fighting for.

That kind of support isn't something we'll ever take for granted.

Independent venues only exist because of communities like ours. Bands, promoters, regulars and music lovers all pulling in the same direction is what keeps places like The Wellington alive.

Local venues are the lifeblood of our scene. This is the place where new bands get their first opportunities, beer is drunk, friendships are made, more beer is drunk, unforgettable nights happen (your memory of these events depends on how much beer is drunk).

Seriously though without these venues, there are less places for small bands to develop and less chances for the next generation of bands to find an audience.

If you live for music; come to the shows, tell your friends, get involved.

Every ticket, every drink bought, and every human being (alive or otherwise) through the door helps keep the scene alive.

Another packed week of live entertainment, great atmosphere, and unforgettable nights awaits at The Wellington Music Venue, Liscard!

🏴‍☠️ Tuesday – Pirate Night with Tinker Taylor Plus Spain V France on the big screens

🎤 Wednesday – Sam Wise from 6pm, followed by England vs Argentina live on the big screen at 8pm.

🧠 Thursday – Our legendary Quiz Night kicks off from 8pm. £2 entry, bar tabs, rolling jackpot and raffle prizes up for grabs!

🎸 Friday – Jack Pearson from 6pm–8pm, followed by the incredible HIJINX Glam rock live from 9pm.
