Absolutely fantastic food .zanolpl by last night.
This is proper Italian food but cooked by a young Scouser. Forget the “authentic Italian” because it’s cooked by an Italian using only Italian ingredients, which aren’t fresh, as they’ve flown 1000’s miles to get here and aren’t even in season since they come from a tin or are frozen. Everything we had .zanolpl was delicious. Simple dishes, cooked really well with bags of flavour. The Maritozzi filled with stracciatella and the carbonara croquettes were delicious little bites to get us started. Obviously we had to try the pizzettes. The dough was light and fluffy and the toppings were banging. Too often do I get a pizza and it’s disappointing because it’s just a bit bland. Definitely not here, the pizzas are lovely. The Meatballs, the chicken Milanese and the Confit chicken tagliatelle were all amazing. I had to use some of the pizza crust to mop up the incredible sauce from the confit chicken dish.
We also had some fries. Truffle and Parmesan and the crack fries. People of Liverpool get over salt and pepper fries will you and get the crack fries from here. You can thank me later.
