Tuesday | Live Music | Martin Smith Quartet | 8pm
Great to welcome back local legend Martin Smith, one of the region’s most sought-after session musicians. Expect world-class jazz from an exceptional quartet.

Wednesday | Live Music | Sades | 8pm
One of Liverpool’s exciting emerging voices, Sades blends pop, jazz and R&B with soulful phrasing and rich harmonies. Expect a smooth, modern set bringing a fresh edge to familiar songs.

Thursday | Live Music | MOD | 8pm
A modern jazz trio bringing a fresh instrumental sound to Liverpool. Featuring Oliver Charles on keys, Max Ng on drums and Charlie Webster on bass, MOD blend jazz with hip-hop and R&B, drawing inspiration from artists including Kiefer and Moses Yoofee Trio.

Friday | Live Music & DJs | Secret Improvisors Club | From 6pm
Hope Street Jazz DJs get things started from 6pm before the Secret Improvisors take over at 9pm. A rotating line-up of Liverpool musicians, no setlist and a live session created entirely in the moment.

Saturday | Closed for a Private Event | All Day
Fred’s is closed all day and night on Saturday for a private event. We’ll be back open as normal from 12pm on Sunday.

Wednesday | Live Music | Blueberry Moon | 8pm
A real Fred’s favourite, Blueberry Moon are always popular whenever they’re back with us. Blending smooth jazz, soul and laid-back grooves, expect warm, soulful sounds and plenty of feel-good energy from one of our best-loved returning acts.

Thursday | Live Music | Alifex | 8pm
Blending Scouse attitude with Afrobeat roots, Alifex bring together Liverpool influences and sounds from further afield. Built around tight grooves, expressive vocals and a collective of players with global influences, their sets are rhythmic, colourful and unmistakably their own.

Drawing on Chicago blues and the deep-rooted sounds of the Mississippi Delta, Stompin’ Thompson delivers a high-energy set of roaring slide guitar and foot-stomping rhythm. Unmissable.

Thursday | Live Music | Nick Branton Trio | 8pm
Liverpool saxophonist and clarinetist Nick Branton brings his trio to Fred’s, moving between jazz, composed melody and free improvisation, with a live set that can shift direction completely in the moment.

Saxophonist and producer Andy Weaver brings his sound to Fred’s, drawing on contemporary jazz alongside afrobeat, garage and hip-hop influences. Expect melody, groove and a modern take on the genre.

Thursday | Grant Russell Quartet | 8pm
Acclaimed bassist, composer and former Gogo Penguin founding member Grant Russell leads his quartet for a night of contemporary jazz, exceptional musicianship and free-flowing improvisation.
