Just had a phone call. I'm cancelling this attempt. It's not needed...

Do I know 200 who is willing to spend £250-300 to hopefully secure the original THIS IS ANFIELD sign to come back to Liverpool?

Yes this is abit of a despo message, I know.

As you probably seen, the original THIS IS ANFIELD sign is up for auction. The auction ends this Wednesday 9th of September.

I fear this sign will yet again not be home in Anfield, Liverpool. And that is simply not right.

Taggy's have a good budget to use, but not as big as highest bid is as we speak (£32000 + 25% commission and 20% VAT on the commission I think)

Our plan is for the sign to be displayed at Liverpool FC museum at Anfield, for every Liverpool supporter to see.
We will of course display it at Taggy's now and then, and also be used for The Shankly Experience and the new upcoming Shankly Glenbuck Village etc.
No clue how to do all that at the moment btw.

I will personally give a matchworn shirt to the first ten that donate £5000 (if necessary). Highest/first donations pics shirt first etc...
A supporters club, a bar or just as a private person... The shirt will be signed if possible. All shirts will be very good ones.

I will invite everyone who donates £500+ for a big fat BBQ and drinks at Taggy's (if money is needed)

We just need to build a decent war chest as they say 🫣

All money not used will of course be returned asap.

So please reds....if you can help, get in touch only on DM asap.

Is this doable or just a stupid panic idea folks?

Info for tomorrow 👍🏼
The bbq girls are testing out a smoked chicken thigh burger tomorrow. If you like it, it will be on the menu.
Burgers, hot dogs and toasties as normal.

Neil got his Siu Mai's going at the front aswell (pork dumplings).

AND...we got new stairs in 😆👍🏼
It helps a lot with the flow in and out.
