My lunch today..an absolutely delicious slice of kunafa from the bakery on Lodge Lane. This is after a full on morning making samosas for a catering order and chocolate cake baked ready for this evening!. Needed a bit of sugar!

So today to celebrate the kids going back to school and a bit of me time I had my first attempt at aking Makki ki roti with Saron Saag.

Verdict: it's a lot more difficult than you think, or you have to seriously practice this Makki ki roti is corn bread roti and is traditionally served with Saron saag, a more creamy bitter spinach with lashings of butter!

The second picture shows my failed attempt, where it completely cracked because I thought i knew it all and rushed it! I salvaged it by baking it off so it wasn't wasted

Oh cookie dough pie in the oven for my kids!

We split our cheesey garlic naan and one of us had a tandoori pieces and I had seekh kebabs ontop of mine...inhaled!!! ...
