Honeycomb is one of Mrs Scoops favourite flavours and I’ve never been able to beat her number 1 scoop she’s ever had. Every time I make a new flavour she’d tell me honestly.. “it’s just not as good as….” And she was 100% right every time - deep down I knew it just wasn’t as good.

So genuinely for years now I’ve been working out a way to recreate (and better!) that ‘gooey chewey’ experience that she’s been talking about (and living rent free in my head) ever since she’s had it.

And hand on heart I honestly feel I’ve come up with something that ticks all the boxes (all though she’ll probably never admit it 😢😔)

Creating a sorbet (with is like 99% water) to have a texture and consistency that’s close to ice cream is probably (definitely) harder to do than making ice cream.

I really didn’t want our sorbets to have that common icy ‘thin’ texture and I’m really happy with how it’s turned out. No flavourings. No colouring. Just straight 100% purée which gives all our sorbets a really good taste.

I’ve kinda changed my own thoughts and opinions on sorbets now and I get as passionate about talking about them as I do dairy ice cream.

We currently offer mango or raspberry sorbet as part of our wedding/event flavour offering but have got a tonne in the vault ready to go. I really hope anyone that tastes it enjoys it.

Another proud moment in the Milk Blossom journey.. introducing our new single and double scoop cups! Modelled with some of our own freshly made White Chocolate Cookie Dough as well as a new and improved Chocolate Brownie.

Another masterpiece by Jay who just gets the assignment and understands the brand better than I do.

Two cool and different designs that I’m super proud of and I can’t wait to start serving from them NEXT WEEKEND.

You know that one little thing in your house that only you notice but it really annoys you and you just had to fix it even though no one would ever notice but it matters because YOU noticed it & it annoyed YOU?? Well I had that exact feeling with the van ‘fresh ice cream’ signs so I got new ones and now I know they look sick even though no one would probably ever notice but the devil really is in the detail 👌

I’d like to introduce you all to my new apprentice. He’s 3.5 months in, an absolute darling, needy and sleeps a lot (not so much at night). Between me & you I’m not sure if he’s cut out for a life of ice cream, but he’s still in his probation so will have to see how he gets on through the summer. Free labour I suppose and let’s hope he’s not lactose intolerant! Currently guzzles milk every 5 mins so let’s hope he’ll make a good ice cream taster one day 😂🤷‍♂️👶💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
