For Terry, and everyone whose lives have been touched by the incredible Clatterbridge Cancer Charity 💚
This one means more to us than we can really put into words… Earlier this week, we were so thrilled to welcome the lovely Emma from Clatterbridge to Emily’s, as we presented a cheque for an incredible £3,204.98, raised with the help of our amazing guests.
Our Contactless Wishing Well is a world first, and Clatterbridge Cancer Charity was chosen as one of the wonderful causes it supports in memory of Terry, our Head of Marketing Emma’s lovely Dad.
Last year, Terry spent time on Ward 3 of the Liverpool Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, where he and his family were met with incredible care, kindness and compassion during what was an incredibly difficult time. To be able to give something back to the people who cared for Terry, and to know that the money raised here at Emily’s will help them continue caring for others when they need it most, makes this partnership incredibly special to all of us. 💚
Thank you so much to every single person who stopped to make a wish and donate… Every tap, every penny and every little wish can hopefully make a difference to many more people. 💫
We were also incredibly lucky to receive a £2,000 donation from Steven Gerrard and Michael McIntyre when they filmed their Say It To My Face segment at Emily’s, alongside £120 raised by the wonderful Formby Stormers through their Christmas run. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
Whilst no amount of money could ever repay the care and kindness shown to Terry and his family, we hope this can be a small way of saying thanks, whilst helping Clatterbridge be there for other families in the same way they were there for ours. 💚
You can find our Wishing Well nestled in the corner of our terrace, and it’s currently raising funds for The British Heart Foundation, in memory of another wonderful man, our Lydia’s dad, Jed.
