🌟 BIG NEWS ALERT! 🌟
After nearly 8 incredible years, it’s time for a new chapter for me (Rachel) and for Sugar and Dice! 🎉
I’m excited (and a little emotional) to share that I have officially passed the torch of Sugar and Dice to two amazing new owners. The café has been a huge part of my life since we opened in 2016, and watching it become a safe space where people could connect and make new friends really has been a dream come true. 🧡
As many of you know, I’ve also been pursuing my passion for psychology and qualified as a psychotherapist in 2020. Balancing the café and my practice has been challenging, and it’s time for me to focus fully on the path I’m most passionate about (plus, let’s be real, I’m getting too old for the hospitality grind 😉).
But here’s the exciting part!! 🎉 I couldn’t be happier to announce that our very own Chris Hird, along with his brother Adam (who worked with us back in the early days!) are the NEW OWNERS of Sugar and Dice! 🥳
Chris has grown with the café from day one—starting as a part-time worker, then becoming manager, and now…OWNER! I’m beyond proud of him and can’t wait to see what he and Adam have in store for the café. 🎲✨ Chris will continue pursuing his acting career as well, so you’ll be seeing a lot of Adam at the moment while Chris is on tour with his acting troupe – another congratulations to Chris!!
Adam was one of the first members of staff we took on back in 2016, and me and him have been close friends ever since. Adam left the café to pursue a career in teaching, but remained a faithful customer, and even had his first date with his partner here back in 2019!!!
You might still spot me around the café for the rest of the month while we make this transition, but after that—it’s all about the new era of Sugar and Dice! 💫
And now…the BIG QUESTION is…..should we throw an “Out with the old, in with the new” celebration party?! 🎉 Who’s in if we do? Let’s celebrate this next exciting chapter together! 🙌
