We’ve been to Bizzy Bees several times now, from when my little one was around 5 months old up to 20 months, and it’s remained a firm favourite.
The play area is consistently clean, well kept, and full of different things to explore. There’s a really good mix of soft play, climbing, and open space that supports gross motor development, confidence building, and those classic “I can do it myself” moments (followed immediately by needing help five seconds later).
There is an under 3s area, which is a great idea in theory. In practice, it isn’t always strongly enforced, so at busy times you can get the occasional bigger child charging through like they’re training for the Olympics. Slightly chaotic, but manageable once you accept it’s part of the soft play ecosystem.
The on-site café is very reasonably priced with huge portions. It’s classic soft play food — chicken nuggets, chips, etc — and everything arrives very hot. We’ve learned to order early so it has time to cool while we play, rather than trying to negotiate lava-level chips with a toddler.
This week we arrived right as it opened at 9:30am and were the first customers in, which was actually brilliant — calm, clean, freshly set up and a rare moment of soft play serenity before the chaos begins.
Changing facilities are excellent — clean, spacious, and genuinely well maintained, which makes solo parenting trips feel about 40% more doable.
And the real highlight: the big blue slide straight into the ball pool. Absolute winner. The kind of thing that turns a calm child into a feral “AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN” situation on repeat.
There’s also a football area, which is a great little bonus — perfect for burning off the last bit of energy once the climbing, sliding, and ball pool has been fully interrogated.
We always really enjoy our visits here and will definitely be back (probably for “just one more slide” approximately 40 times).
