The perfect setting for any occasion, enjoy a lazy summer afternoon in our 4 acre beer garden, complete with childrens play area and bouncy castle. In the winter sit by the open inglenook fireplace and enjoy the warmth and ambience of our 16th Century Inn

We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Chef to join our small kitchen team at The Spread Eagle, a busy family-run traditional pub serving fresh, home-cooked food.

The position is around 40 hours per week, although this can vary slightly.

The basic salary is £34,000 per year, plus staff tips, typical overall earnings could be approximately £37,000–£39,000+ per year. (Tips naturally vary and aren't guaranteed.)

Previous experience in a professional kitchen is required but you don't need to be a Head Chef or have management experience. We're looking for someone who is reliable, enjoys cooking fresh food, works well in a small team and is willing to learn and take on more responsibility over time.

Most importantly, we want a good, dependable chef who enjoys cooking proper food and wants to become part of a friendly, family-run business.

Served from 12 - 3 but don't worry we served breakfast from 10am til 1130am on Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's!!

We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Chef to join our small kitchen team at The Spread Eagle, a busy family-run traditional pub serving fresh, home-cooked food.

We don't have a traditional Head Chef structure – we work together, share the workload and chip in wherever needed. We're looking for someone to become another strong member of the team who can also confidently look after the kitchen on quieter shifts or when other chefs are off.

The position is around 40 hours per week, although this can vary slightly.

The basic salary is £34,000 per year, plus staff tips, typical overall earnings could be approximately £37,000–£39,000+ per year. (Tips naturally vary and aren't guaranteed.)

You'll be involved in:
• Preparing and cooking fresh, home-cooked food
• Daily food preparation and working across the kitchen
• Maintaining consistent food quality and presentation
• Food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
• Deliveries, stock rotation and reducing waste
• Working alongside and supporting the rest of the team
• With training, confidently running a service when required

We have our family friendly music festival here this Saturday and the best part it's FREE to attend!!

Live music all day, bouncy castles, bbq, and a few stalls from local businesses.
