❤️ A LITTLE MESSAGE FROM US…

Over the past week, we’ve said goodbye to 5 members of our team who have been with us for a long time as they head off to university and onto their next chapters. 🎓❤️

That means you’re going to see quite a few new faces around Cell Block Grill over the coming weeks.

For some of them, this is their very first job. They’re learning the menu, the tills, table numbers, how we do things and, most importantly, how to keep smiling when the place is absolutely bouncing. 😂🔥

We know it can take 2–4 weeks to properly find your feet, and we’ll be doing everything we can to train, support and encourage them along the way.

All we ask from our customers is a little patience and kindness while they learn. ❤️

We all remember that first job… the nerves, worrying about making a mistake and trying to remember 100 things at once! 😅

And to our new team members: don’t be afraid to make mistakes, ask questions or ask for help. Nobody expects you to know everything on day one. Work hard, be kind, listen and the rest will come.

To our customers: if you spot someone new, give them a smile and make them feel welcome. You’d be surprised how much that can help someone who’s nervous.

We’ll get there together. 🖤🧡

Our Guinness Wheaten Bread — freshly baked in-house, from scratch. 🍞🍺

No packets. No shortcuts. Just proper homemade wheaten, baked fresh and served alongside your meal.

It might only be the bread on the side to some people… but to us, everything that leaves our kitchen matters. 👨‍🍳🔥

Freshly battered cod goujons, two crispy-skinned seabass fillets, chilli & garlic sautéed king prawns and fresh cold-water prawns with Marie Rose & dressed leaves.

Then we’ve loaded it up with pea velouté, tarragon white w**e cream, chimichurri, charred lemon AND your choice of TWO sides. 🤤🔥

This isn’t a wee fish supper… this is seafood doing a life sentence. 😂🔒🐟

Executive Chef Mark has been spotted… DOING SOMETHING USEFUL FOR ONCE! 🤣🤣🤣

We’ve let him out of the kitchen and onto the restaurant floor for a shift as Front of House 👀😂

Apparently it’s all about “getting a feel for the other side of the business” and seeing what the FOH team deal with every day…

We give him 20 minutes before he’s begging to get back behind the pass 🤣🤣

So if you’re in and Mark’s serving your table, please be patient…

He’s used to shouting “SERVICE!” — not actually providing it. 😂😂😂

Yes… we know.

IT’S AUGUST. 😂☀️

People are still wearing shorts, sitting in b**r gardens and arguing about whether it’s too early to turn the heating on…

And here we are talking about TURKEY, GRAVY & CHRISTMAS PLATTERS. 🤣🎄

But if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that Christmas bookings go from…

“Sure we’ll sort something closer to the time…”

to…

“ANY CHANCE YOU CAN SQUEEZE 18 OF US IN THIS SATURDAY???” 😭😂

So this year, we’re getting ahead of the madness.
