☕ New Hug a Mug Opening Hours – Starting Thursday

As many of you may have seen on Facebook, this year we have seen a drop in footfall at the café, alongside ever-increasing running costs. After a lot of discussion and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to change our opening hours so that they better reflect when our visitors are using the café most.

From Thursday this week, our new opening pattern will be:

🍰 Monday, Tuesday & Thursday mornings
Serving our usual cakes, coffees and bacon rolls.

🍽️ Wednesday – Open all day
Join us for lunch and keep an eye out for our daily specials!

🥓 Friday mornings – Breakfast mornings
Come along and enjoy your Friday breakfast with us.

We know this is the biggest change the café has seen, and we completely understand that it may take some getting used to. We really appreciate your patience, understanding and, most importantly, your continued support. ❤️

We’re also going to use this opportunity to start modernising the café and making some improvements to the space. We’re looking at introducing a self-service machine, which will be available during our non-café hours, and we hope to make some improvements to the overall look and feel of the café thanks to grant funding that we hope to receive over the coming months.

These changes are about making sure Hug a Mug can continue to be here for the community for many years to come. We’ll keep listening, reviewing and adapting as we go.

With temperatures set to be even warmer tomorrow for the safety of the team we have taken the decision to close at 12pm tomorrow and not continue on for lunch.

Important Update 🌞

With the temperatures continuing to rise, we've taken the decision to close Hug a Mug early tomorrow for the safety and comfort of our staff, and due to the expected lower footfall during the hottest part of the day.

🕘 Tomorrow's opening hours: 8:45am – 12:00 noon

We'll be keeping a close eye on the weather on Friday, but we're hoping to be open as usual.
