Local legends Revival are back! 🎶🍻

Our very own local skiffle band return to The Old House at Home on Friday 2nd October at 8.30pm, and we can’t wait to welcome them back.

Expect a lively mix of skiffle, folk, country and Irish music, plenty of familiar faces and a proper Friday night at the pub. If you’ve seen Revival before, you’ll know they’re always great fun. If you haven’t, this is your chance!

🍂 October at The Old House at Home 🍂

We’ve got a really busy month coming up, with w**e, live music, food, bingo, bikes and Halloween all packed into October!

🍷 Thursday 1st October – French W**e Tasting & Paired Charcuterie, 7pm
Join us for a relaxed evening of French w**es with our w**e expert Emma from Liberty W**es, paired with a delicious charcuterie selection. £30 per person.

🎶 Friday 2nd October – Revival, 8.30pm
Our local resident band are back with a brilliant mix of skiffle, folk and country. A great old-school live music night at the pub.

🪩 Saturday 17th October – Undercover Party People, 8.30pm
Get ready for a proper party night! Expect upbeat live music, dancing and a lively Saturday night atmosphere.

🚲 Sunday 18th October – Dr Bike, 12–5pm
The Surrey bike mechanic is back offering FREE bicycle safety checks and minor adjustments, funded through Active Travel. Adult and children’s bikes welcome, and you can bring more than one. Just turn up, leave your bike with the mechanic and grab a drink or lunch while you wait.

🍕 Saturday 24th October – Daccapo Pizzeria, 3–8.30pm
Freshly made wood-fired pizzas served outside the pub. Perfect with a pint, glass of w**e or an easy Saturday dinner.

🎱 Sunday 25th October – Bingo, 2pm
A fun, family-friendly afternoon of bingo. £5 for 6 games, with cash and mystery prizes to be won. Children are welcome and advance booking is recommended.

🥩 Sunday 25th October – Meat Raffle, 4pm
The meat raffle is back! Tickets are £2 each, with even more meat prizes to win — and yes, the famous Oxo Cube prize may make another appearance!

🍔 Friday 30th October – The Burger Truck, 3–8.30pm
Come hungry — The Burger Truck will be serving burgers, fries and all the comfort-food favourites into the evening.

🎃 Saturday 31st October – Halloween Party with UkeRox, from 8.30pm
Our Halloween party returns with live music from UkeRox, fancy dress and a suitably spooky night at the pub. Best dressed wins a trophy, so make an effort!

🥩 After the summer break, our Meat Raffle is back — and it’s bigger and meatier than ever! 🥩

We have even more delicious meat prizes to win this time… although one lucky winner may go home with our famous OXO cube! 😂

🐾 WHAT A RESULT! ❤️

We’re delighted to say that together we raised an amazing £542.50 for Applegarth Dog Rescue from the Dormansland Charity Dog Show.

A huge thank you to everyone who entered a class, donated, supported the event, sponsored prizes and helped make the day such a success.

And did you know we even have a dog on our pub sign? 🐶
That’s because dogs have always been very much part of The Old House at Home — we love welcoming them, and it made bringing the Dormansland Dog Show back feel even more special.

We’re also incredibly grateful to Applegarth Dog Rescue for helping run and judge the show, and to all of our wonderful sponsors for their generous support.

🐾 WHAT. A. DAY! 🐾

A huge well done to all of our winners — there were some seriously impressive dogs out there today… and a few who clearly had their own ideas about what the judges were looking for. 😂

A massive thank you to all of our wonderful sponsors for the incredibly generous prizes, rosettes, treats and support. You helped make the show feel really special.

Thank you as well to Applegrath Dog Rescue for helping run and judge the show — no easy task with that many wagging tails, excited owners and dogs suddenly deciding they’d forgotten every command they’ve ever learned! 🐶🏆

And of course, thank you to all the owners who brought their dogs along, and especially to the dogs themselves for taking part and being so brilliantly behaved. Considering we had so many dogs together in one place, they were absolute stars. ❤️

We loved bringing the Dormansland Dog Show back and seeing the pub full of families, dogs and lots of laughter.

So… shall we do it all again next year? 🐾👀
