Hi all. My name is Natalie, owner of The Lindfield Kitchen. I have had the pleasure of creating delicious food for clients locally and in and around the Sussex and London area for the last 4 years, receiving great reviews and feedback for every job done. My obsession is making food designed to be shared, feasted with the eyes and that tastes fantastic using only the finest quality, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. Too rushed off my feet to take decent photos or video but you get the idea….Custom-made picnic boxes were the order of the day at the wonderful Surrealist Picnic hosted by Farley’s House and Gallery where guests arrived wearing spectacular and such brilliantly imaginative costumes…A box of delicious savoury treats were available pre-ordered: mini quiches, roasted marinated vegetables & sweet potato koftas for the veggies, charcuterie & chicken koftas for the meat eaters, beetroot hummus & tzatziki, crudite skewers, Donyana salad and Lee Miller’s Coriander Rice salad, local cheeses and homemade Focaccia, even one for the Gluten free eaters (thank you for a lovely recipe ).. an extreme labour of love but a good template for perhaps introducing them more widely for next summer?🤔🧺☀️

Been cooking up some yummy lunch treats for Farley’s House and Gallery cafe this week.. did you know that you can visit the cafe even if you haven’t booked to visit the house (which you absolutely should because it’s fabulous!!). A great place to meet a friend for lunch.

in Hadlow Down was the glorious setting for this very special, super chilled wedding that I had the great pleasure to cook for this weekend. The gruelling heat in the lead up was worth all the effort to create a delicious feast and serve it in the shade of this glorious wood. It was also a great privilege to serve it on the most incredible tree table made by . Check out his Insta to see it in its full glory.

I ❤️ simple summer ingredients.

Want a quick supper/lunch idea:
Tomato & onion salad with a bunch of fresh basil, balsamic and good olive oil. Dont forget a good pinch of flaky sea salt and grind of black pepper.
I had some chicken thigh fillets to use up so cut into strips and marinated in olive oil, cumin, smoked paprika, crushed garlic, grated minced onion, fresh chopped parsley, oregano, lemon juice, dollop of mayo, s & p. Threaded chicken on to water soaked skewers and air fried (or u can bbq) for 20-25 mins turning half way. Even nicer with a quick glaze for basting skewers for last 5 mins of cooking and another douse when serving: mayo, sweet chilli sauce, squeeze of lemon juice. Sounds mad but it’s delish!!

Bloody weather! ☔️
Even when it’s chucking it down outside, beautiful ingredients combined with carefully chosen herbs and spices can still bring a little sunshine to your event. ☀️
Today’s colourful salads:
🍑 Nectarine, halloumi, cashews & citrus
🌿 Kosheri
🎃 Spiced roasted squash & cauliflower with rocket, pink pickled onions, green tahini & pumpkin seeds

I’ve been baking up a few treats for the café at Farley’s House & Gallery…
Onion upside-down cakes (yes, slightly surreal — but completely delicious) and Mediterranean veggie rolls, packed with sunshine flavours.
If you’re planning a visit, it’s the perfect excuse for a wonderful cultural wander followed by something seriously good to eat.
