Our next Sunday lunch is this coming Sunday, 4th October. If there are any bookings on the way, (we still have some tables available) that require our home made nut roast, we will need to know by the end of the day tomorrow please (30th September).

The next Sunday lunch will be 2 weeks after that, the 18th October.

Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity to take on a new part time team member to assist us at The Rogues. This will be, in the main, a ‘term time’ position, usually on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday, typically 10am to 2pm. A key part of the role will be pot washing and clearing tables, but will also include taking orders and assistance with preparing meals and drinks. We are ideally looking for someone with experience but it’s not essential. A great work ethic, initiative and focus is key as we can be very busy during service.

Just a reminder we’re not doing Sunday lunches every week now, more like fortnightly. Not open tomorrow so the next one is 4th October. We’ve several bookings but we still have some tables in case anyone would like to book in advance ! 😊. The one after that will be the 18th.

It's been a few months but our first night back was a corker! Was lovely to see some new faces and of course our regular Thursday nighters! Thank you Sam Smith for entertaining, everyone loved you! 😍

Thanks to whoever decided to fill our business waste bin with full dustbin bags full of domestic waste. (We won’t describe some of the contents). We now have the pleasure of paying for it to be disposed of as we pay per kilo for business lifts. Great!

Well, it’s exactly 2 years today since we got the keys for the cafe premises. And wow it’s flown by! And we’re very honoured to come high up on google alongside the likes of Anna’s Place and Cafe St Paul’s. (Amazing food).

Have to mention (great cafe) Cafe Ella on Newport as we only knew about the opportunity through them, and Nonna Juana Deli for being so friendly and supportive too. And all the Burton Road community.

Last but not least our customers and staff, whom make it all worthwhile 🙂

Not long home from our Sunday lunch service. We’re knackered but it was a good day, we sold out of pretty much everything!

Thanks to everyone who came in to eat.

Someone asked us a while back if we use packet sauces and frozen produce for Sunday dinners, as we’re ‘just a café’.

Nope, we make everything from scratch and buy fresh from Foster's Butchers and Fresh from the fields bailgate shop. Here’s some evidence of some proper prep, (cauliflower cheese). 😂
