I’ve never seen Lichfield or this country so dry. I drove many miles in the last few days and the words sunburnt country kept springing to mind..

To protect our parks, farmland, and lives could be all adhere to the Council’s plee of no disposable barbecues across our beautiful district.

During the summer months, The woods goes up quite a bit with regular callouts from the fire department. Could you tell your young ones not to light campfires or take barbecues when they’re going out and having fun. It’s only a small ask for something that could turn so big….

* Tuesday 21st (tomorrow) service distribution *

For too long vampires haven’t been able to get into Melboure Cafe due to the running water under our threshold. Well we’re getting that fixed on Tuesday. Some folks with pipes and powertools are going to be rerouting our water supply into the cafe to address a burst pipe somewhere underground.

What does that mean for the non-Vampires?

We will be open but it may be a bit noisy and we may have limited ability to serve hot drinks as the coffee machine may get taken off its water feed every now and then while they hook us up. We will have everything available iced and we’ll have a stash of espresso ready for all those iced latte needs. So basically just bear with us and let all those ghosts and ghouls know that pretty soon they will be able to cross our threshold unhindered.

summer shoutout!! … we are going to be changing the opening times on the days where our staff will physically be melting if they stay in the shop any longer. It’ll be a slightly earlier open time of 7am so you early birds can get a coffee whilst it’s cool and then we will close at 2pm so our staff can close up and go home.

These opening hours will be weather dependent so keep your eyes peeled on socials or ask the staff when you pop in!
