“Alex made the process incredibly straightforward, while also being flexible and happy to adapt to our needs as plans developed. He was always responsive to our questions and provided plenty of reassurance throughout the planning process, which gave us real confidence that everything was in hand.

On the day, Alex was the consummate professional, and the food was absolutely delicious. One of the best indicators of success was that guests were coming up to tell us how good the food was without us needing to ask. The variety and quality of the menu were outstanding, and the catering easily accommodated a wide range of dietary requirements and preferences.

It was a pleasure working with Alex. His professionalism, attention to detail and fantastic food helped make the event a real success. If we are planning another event in the future, Alex will certainly be our first call.”

Busy day today: we’re doing a large private lunch party near Lindfield then I have to scoot back to the kitchen and load up for, hopefully, a busy evening at Depot Cinema for their excellent Dalliance event. We’re popping up at Gun Brewery this evening (Friday) and Beak Brewery Taproom Sunday serving Middle Eastern meze, perfect food for the hot weather, accompanied by cold b**r. And in case you wandering about the relevance of this photo I took, this is much lamented West Beach of Newhaven which for the last 18 years has been closed off to the public by the corporation who own it, but which in the last few days witnessed a joyous mass trespass after some enterprising locals broke the padlocks (which I can’t of course condone!) My wife and I went down there yesterday evening, and there was an air of joyful defiance amongst all the happy beachgoers. It’s a lovely beach, a very rare sandy one in this part of the world, backed by chalk cliffs, and it’s a crying shame it’s been barricaded off to the good folk of Newhaven
