MOUCHETTE is the final film in our Bresson season, followed by a free discussion in the Studio led by Dr Martine Pierquin - Monday 28 September

Adapted from a novel by Georges Bernanos (who also authored Diary of a Country Priest), this remarkable film chronicles a day in the life of a young girl living in a rural village where she is neglected and abused by those around her.

This deeply affecting portrait features a remarkable central performance by Nadine Nortier and is widely regarded as one of Bresson’s finest films.

Deeply rich and comforting, the flavours of Italian American food are shaped by recipes brought to the United States by Italian immigrants, passed down through generations as an important reminder of a shared heritage.

To tie in with our screening of Big Night, our chefs are serving a menu of Italian American inspired dishes, including creamy risottos, indulgent spaghetti dishes, and a zingy ricotta cheesecake.

🍺 It's been a few days, but we still can't get over the amazing turnout we had for BeerFest 2026 last weekend! We hope you all had as fun a time as we did!

⭐ Huge thanks to our fantastic guest breweries who joined us and made the day what it was - Lost Pier Brewing, Hand Brew Co , Only With Love and UnBarred Brewery - and the evening wouldn't have been the same without the sounds of Django Chutney , The Flex and Tamanduá to get us all moving.

🌇 With that, BeerFest marks the end of our outdoor summer events! We can't wait to see you all back on our terrace next year!

Dots & dashes appear in the world around us in many different forms, often totally unrecognised. See them in the fonts and texts that surround us, in the natural forms of nature, and in the structures of the man-made.
