Desert spirit squash, Radicchio castelfranco, Trevino( red vein radicchio) & pan roasted chicken with a cream & smoked bacon sauce. It really was a delicious combination of big flavours with the sweetness of the desert spirit squash and the gentle bitterness of the castelfranco radicchio give it a try! I love all these spectacular names for squashes.

Feliz Navidad Amigos, Come to Elie for our first ever Supper Club! Amy & Jack will be cooking a Spanish extravaganza on the 22nd December Tickets can be bought via our www.theharbourcafe.co.uk /supper-club wine is included in the ticket price and if you are really thirsty you can buy more on the night. If you would prefer non alcoholic drinks we will not leave you out and create tasteful alternatives. We currently cannot cater for all dietary requirements however the good news is that Jack is GF therefore so is the majority of the food we cook, we can also cater for vegetarians. ps thank you for magically creating this beautiful invitation.

Who doesn’t love a lemon meringue roulade? If you haven’t played with meringue too much then give this one a try as I find it pretty forgiving especially if you are going through a damp, flat egg time. Jack has also picked some sparkling wines that will make this pudding an even bigger treat! I think we could all hunker down to this one tonight.

Not long now! Make yourself something yummy and pour a glass of something good to drink turn on the tv at 8pm bbc2 to watch Jack and amy cook Dave and Si some lunch and meet some of their suppliers.

Amy and Jack will be cooking for The Hairy Bikers “ Go Local” tomorrow night Friday 6th January bbc2 at 8pm. None of us can wait to see it ( that’s a lie maybe some of us can wait) alongside our awesome suppliers. What an incredible week it was and at last you can all check it out! Thank you to everyone from start especially 😘 and all the production and crew that made it fun!
