Not something I usually post but felt compelled to share...
As we know, hospitality has become an increasingly hard industry to be in due to the rising costs in business rates, NI, utilities and of course the highest VAT rate in Europe.
The Councils say they are supporting small businesses.
I don't see this.
So why have they allowed change of use of yet another huge premises into yet another cafe?
Esquires own Black Goo. So 2 in 2 years! Unfortunately, this will flood the smaller Independents out, who have worked super hard for many years to build their dream.
The identity of our small town will be gone and every High Street will look identical.
So please, support our lovely independent businesses so we don't lose them forever.
