We’re incredibly proud to support our local communities. ❤️

Throughout the year we’re asked to donate vouchers, afternoon teas, cakes and prizes to schools, charities, raffles, events and local causes — and whenever we can, we genuinely love saying yes.

But there’s another side to supporting local that perhaps doesn’t get talked about quite as much.

Small businesses can’t continually give to their communities without those communities choosing to support them too.

It doesn’t have to mean spending a fortune.

Pop in for a coffee. Meet a friend for lunch. Buy a gift voucher. Book an afternoon tea. Use us for catering. Leave us a review. Recommend us to somebody. Even liking or sharing one of our posts helps more than you might realise.

Because when you’re deciding where to spend your money, remember the little businesses that are there when your school, club, charity or community needs something too.

We’ll always do our best to support the communities around our four coffee shops.

We just hope those communities will continue to support us too. ❤️

Here’s to the weekend

Whatever this week has looked like for you, Friday evening always feels like a little bit of a reset.

Tomorrow our doors open again across all four CuriosiTEA Rooms, the coffee machines go on, the kitchens get busy and we get to do another weekend of something we’re incredibly proud of.

Four coffee shops. Four communities. Lots of familiar faces and hopefully plenty of new ones too.

WEEKEND PLANS? We can help with those… ☕️🍰

Sometimes the best weekends aren’t the ones with big plans.

They’re the ones that might start on a Friday, the ones which involve a decent coffee, something homemade to eat, a catch-up that lasts longer than expected and absolutely no washing up afterwards. 😂

So whether it’s breakfast to start the day, brunch because you had a lie-in, lunch with a friend, one of our homemade sausage rolls, cake because… well, it’s the weekend 🤷‍♀️, or simply ten minutes with a cuppa and some peace — we’ve got you.

Across our four little CuriosiTEA Rooms this weekend, there’ll be ovens on, coffee machines working overtime and our teams ready to welcome you. ❤️

☕ Behind every cup is a little bit more than coffee…

It’s the machine warming up.
The cups stacked and ready.
The first coffee of the morning and the last one before we clean down.

It’s the “usual please”, the quick catch-up, the meeting that turns into lunch, the friend you haven’t seen for far too long… and sometimes just ten quiet minutes with a coffee because you needed them.

We serve an awful lot of cups across our four little coffee shops — but we never forget there’s a person on the other side of every one. ❤️

And that, really, is what CuriosiTEA Rooms has always been about.

🌙 CURIOSITEA AFTER HOURS… could this be for you?

We’ve been thinking about what happens when the coffee machines quieten down and the doors would normally close for the day…

And we’ve decided perhaps they don’t always have to. ❤️

We’re looking for local people, small businesses, makers, teachers and talented humans who might like to host an event, workshop or experience at one of our CuriosiTEA Rooms venues after hours.

Maybe you run craft workshops.
Perhaps you’re a florist, artist, author or beauty professional.
Maybe you host quizzes, talks, demonstrations, clubs or classes.

Or perhaps you’ve got a completely different idea that we haven’t even thought of yet.

We want to hear it.

We have four very different venues in Pitstone, Edlesborough, Tring and Leighton Buzzard, and we’d love to start opening some of them (where permitted) after hours for events that bring people together.

Because CuriosiTEA has always been about more than coffee and cake. It’s about conversation, community, meeting people and creating somewhere you feel welcome.

So this is the beginning of something new…

Well… this made us smile today.

A room full of chatter, catch-ups, coffees and people simply spending time together at Leighton Buzzard.

It might just look like a busy coffee shop… but to us, it’s exactly what we hoped CuriosiTEA Rooms would be.

A place to meet.
A place to catch up.
A place to sit for a while.
And sometimes, just a place to not be on your own.

Thank you to everyone who filled our tables today — and to everyone who continues to support all four of our little coffee shops. It genuinely matters more than you probably realise.

☕️ STILL INDEPENDENT. STILL US.

There’s been quite a bit of change in the local coffee world recently, so we thought this was a good time to say something we’re incredibly proud of…

CuriosiTEA Rooms is proudly independent.

Four coffee shops. One small independent business. And a lot of people working very hard behind the scenes to keep it that way.

When you choose to have a coffee with us, buy a slice of cake, bring the children in for a milkshake, meet a friend for lunch or simply pop in because you fancy seeing a familiar face, it genuinely matters.

There isn’t a huge company sitting behind us.

It’s us choosing the cakes, planning the menus, answering the messages, organising the events, fixing things when they break (frequently), worrying when it’s quiet and doing a little happy dance when it’s busy.

And most importantly, it’s our teams knowing our customers — their usual drinks, their stories, their families and sometimes simply knowing when somebody needs a chat or when they just want to sit in peace.

That’s what being independent means to us.

This weekend all four CuriosiTEA Rooms are ready to welcome you:

Did you know this about our Leighton Buzzard Venue? YOU DON’T NEED A TRAIN TICKET FOR THIS STOP…

We realised recently that there might be something we haven’t made quite clear enough about our CuriosiTEA Rooms at Leighton Buzzard Railway…

You can come and visit us even if you’re not travelling on the trains.

You don’t need a railway ticket.
You don’t need a special event to be happening.
And you definitely don’t need an excuse for coffee and cake.

We’re there for the railway visitors, of course — and we absolutely love the buzz when the trains are running — but we’re also a local coffee shop for everyone.

Pop in for breakfast. Meet someone for lunch. Grab a coffee and cake. Bring the children. Come for a catch-up. Or simply call in because you fancy somebody else making the coffee for once.

You’ll find us at Leighton Buzzard Railway, Pages Park — and there’s a CuriosiTEA welcome waiting whether you’re catching a train or not. We have a big carpark so parking isn’t a problem and dogs are welcome.

Sometimes the best little places are the ones you don’t realise you can simply walk into.
