It’s been just over a year since my last service at The Kings Head.

If you’ve missed all they classic dishes I cooked for you over the years, I now have some very exciting news to share with you all.

I am now offering a private dining service. Cooking all your favourites like Roasted Aylesbury Duckling with all the trimmings, Smokies, Crepes to name a few in the comfort of your own home.

Easy to book with bespoke menu planning available. We cook, serve and leave your kitchen clean. All thats left for you to do is to sit back, relax and enjoy the amazing food.

Well it’s a end of a era for us.
I guess it’s time for us to go our separate ways.
Over 2 decades ago, it seems like yesterday, 22 years and with very little thought we won the winning bid for our beautiful restaurant! The Kings Head at Ivinghoe, it was a absolute no brainer for us, it was a dream come true, we could not of been any prouder.

We started as 4 and are ending with 3, Patrick has always been there in spirit and in our hearts, he has been a driving force for when times have got tough and top of our thoughts during all the highs and whom without this would of never been possible, he made our dreams reality.

We would like to thank our families, friends and the people we love, you’ve put up with a lot over the years!

We would like to thank all our staff, present and past for your dedication and skills sets, many of them who have been with us for many years, we take away many great memories.

We would like to thank all our suppliers of great foods especially Richard & Beverly Waller from Long Grove Wood Farm who have turned down many top restaurants to supply us and have worked tirelessly and without a break to supply us with our world renowned Aylesbury Duckling, we are so privileged.

We would like to thank you the customer for choosing and supporting us, a lot of you have been coming 6 decades and we very much appreciate your custom.

As speculation and rumours have grown over the last few months about the future of our restaurant, we’ve had customers in tears, lots of lovely comments, disbelief and the word institution has been thrown around a fair bit. Thank you we are in disbelief and very flattered and we don’t hesitate to say this has been the hardest, most heart breaking decision of our lives, it’s going to take a while to come to terms with.

Thank you all so much for your generous donations from Family, Friend’s and a few random people I don’t no, please make yourself known, so generous and kind of you all.
We managed to raise over £2000 for a great cause the
British Heart Foundation and in the memory of a great man my Father Patrick O’Keeffe
Such a great, well organised event, with cheers from all the Londoner’s every step of the way making it very memorable and special.
A special thank you to my daughter Ellie O'Keeffe who came up with the idea and also ran raising money for Great Ormand Street.

Patrick passed away 24/05/2005 at age 62 from heart failure, he was a loving father, husband and was completely dedicated to making The Kings Head at Ivinghoe a success and instigating the purchase of the restaurant a few years prior to his death saving it from the brewery chains!

I know Patrick would of cooked for many of you and worked with a like creating some special memories.
