We’ve got the brilliant Amii Dawes joining us at The Black Lion from 8:30pm tonight! 🍻

A Northampton singer-songwriter, Amii has been writing music since she was 12 and has spent years touring around the UK and Europe. Her sound blends folk, pop, rock and indie/alternative, with plenty of honest, heartfelt songwriting along the way. 🎸

We’re bringing the music inside tonight as things are looking a little chilly later on — so grab a drink, get yourself comfy and settle in for a great evening of live music.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who made today’s Big Band Karaoke possible.

To the amazing OMJ Orchestra for bringing the music and making the afternoon so special, to Alisha from Spectrum Community Arts and all of their fabulous volunteers, and to all of our Black Lion staff who worked so hard - we couldn’t have done it without you!

And, of course, the biggest thank you goes to everyone who got involved, sang their hearts out and donated today. Whether you grabbed the mic, cheered from the sidelines or popped some money in the pot, you’ve all played a part. ❤️

Spectrum Community Arts is a truly one-of-a-kind charity, celebrating 10 years of excellence, and they simply couldn’t do the incredible work they do without the support of people like you.

And together today, we raised an incredible £1,756! 🎉

🎤 TOMORROW — BIG BAND KARAOKE FOR SPECTRUM COMMUNITY ARTS! 🎤

Tomorrow from 4–6pm, we’ll be raising money for Spectrum Community Arts, a fantastic local organisation providing accessible performing arts workshops for people with disabilities and additional needs. Their sessions help build confidence, self-expression, friendships and, most importantly, give everyone a safe and welcoming space to get involved in the performing arts. 💜

We want as many of you getting involved as possible! 🎤 You don’t need to be a professional - that’s the whole point!
Let those shower vocals out into the open and give us your best performance. And if you’re feeling a little shy… don’t worry, Chloe will probably persuade you that you’re singing anyway! 😉

Come down, show your support, have a few drinks, enjoy some nibbles and get involved with The Big Band! 🎶

And what better way to kick things off than with a pint of one of our absolute constants?

Bass Best Bitter — 4.4%.

A proper classic, a reliable favourite, and one of our cellar man’s personal choices (if you couldn’t tell from the pictures…).

With its rich amber colour, balanced malt character and satisfying bitter finish, Bass is exactly what you want from a traditional pint of ale. It’s been a firm favourite behind our bar for years and remains a true Black Lion house b**r.
