A lot of new people have followed Chatty Hands lately, so we thought we would say a quick hello 👋

You’ve probably found this page because you’re local to Leigh-on-Sea or Southend and you’re interested in BSL, Deaf community, making new connections, or finding a friendly place to practise signing.

If you’re up for relaxed meetups with lovely friendly people, a bit of signing, games, cake, and plenty of encouragement, you’ve definitely come to the right place.

Chatty Hands is for BSL learners, Deaf people, hard of hearing people, anyone who wants to build confidence using BSL in a welcoming space. You don’t need to be fluent, and you don’t need to be perfect - just come along and have a go.

P.S if you want your parking sorted, do look at Just Park which had some spaces closeby available when I looked just now.

🌞We are proud to introduce our new course - Little Wonders!
It's a free 6 week stay and play support group for babies and children (up to 5 years), with hearing loss. It's also suitable for Children of Deaf Adults.

Our first course is starting on Tuesday 2nd June in our Willow Room at Socata House, Westcliff, with a second starting in Rayleigh very soon (further details of that one will be posted soon).
