We’re here today from 10am - 4 pm. At the Cropston Entrance Bradgate Park. With Bradgate Rotary Bark in the park. Weather is super- so far. !!!!! We’re launching our new infused Honey range today. Come along and try some !

Well the cars loaded. 7-am arrival ! In the morning is our slot. - thanks - Seriously. ?? But we will be there.
The gazebo is broken - 4pm ! When we got it out the loft after theAnstey Gala last year it turns out it’s broken.
- So we’ve borrowed one ! It’s not ideal. But now we need the extra two hours to build it as it’s not a ‘pop up’ but we’re very grateful to have it. So pop along. It’s not About the early start. / broken gazebos. It’s about the hard work our wonderful bees have done this summer to produce such fabulous honey for you

Often when I leave early at 2 or 3 pm. Someone will say. ‘Are you off now !’ That comment annoys me sometimes - actually most times !! - as I’m not off to the gym or the spa. And usually I started work around 6.30 am. So I want to say - actually NO. i’m doing other stuff !!! To keep us up there! I’ll be working until 7 pm on social media even - like now. - So. ..when I’ve not been in the kitchen recently after 2 !! # - We’ve been taking time during the last few weeks - infusing our wonderful honey with an array of different flavours - so. Tomorrow. We have a few samples for you to try !!! Ahead of us launching it at the bark in the park event next month! Pop over and have a taste. They are amazing !! The proper launch is next month. But we would love a few early opinions as to whether my time has been well spent. )!! Or should I have just gone shopping !!!

Each day is so different. Some days it’s all about strawberries, others it’s all about honey. But at the moment whilst we are taking off the last of this summers honey. We are mainly thinking about what the bees need. This is really a stressful time for beekeepers - making sure we don’t take too much. Each hive is different in strength and numbers. Each queen is laying to her own agenda - we now need to read the situation of every single hive and do what we think is right - we treat for Varroa - a mite that kills so many hives - if we do not tackle it and we now try our best to make sure they make it through the long winter ahead. I start to feel a bit melancholy during September . Wondering if I’ve done enough to keep my girls strong enough for the long few months ahead. I hope I’m on top of it the next few weeks. We are grateful for the honey that they have given us. It’s the least we can do to try our best now for them !!! As we wind down the apiaries for the winter - also we’re looking forward already to March - spring. For the next cycle of hive life !!

From our entries into the doggy balm competition. !!! We have three pooches to take part in the trial. !
Princey Bobs - Zeus and Leo will all be using the nose and paw balm for the next two weeks and we will update you on the results. !! Lola Bunny has already seen a fabulous improvement with her nose !!! She is leading the pack - having started a week ago !!! She thinks it tastes quite nice too !!!
