Did you know that you can now get a pickled egg with a pint at The Salmon? 🥚

Pairing a pickled egg with a pint of traditional real ale is a classic British pub tradition. The sharp, vinegary tang of the egg cuts through the rich, malt-forward profile of the beer and resets your pallet between sips 🍻 ..

There’s a few real ale pairings, suggested by us with a new addition to our pub snack list:

🍺 BCA Fireside bitter-the moderate bitterness and caramel notes provide a direct, balanced contrast to the sour vinegar bite

🍺 BCA Pig On The Wall Mild-the low bitterness and gentle, smooth malt sweetness soften the sharpness of the pickle brine without clashing

🍺 Oakham Omertà Porter-the roasted, dark malt flavours stand up to the heavy, savoury richness of the egg yolk

Another day at The Salmon, another improvement!

Our beer garden has got some extra privacy with ivy added to the fence. Now hopefully you can enjoy your conversations, time with friends & family outside in our improved outdoor space that has become more private.. Or secret garden space I shall say? 🪴☂️

Right, let’s have a serious chat..

There’s an important World Cup game tomorrow evening, and I know you all are nervous & look forward to it! We do as well 🫣

England is playing with Argentina and the game will definitely be intense 🤯..

But what helps? Watching it with a group of friends, community that all root for the same-England to get through further!

So you’re invited to watch it at The Salmon, let’s all gather together & see where the night takes us-hopefully further through the World Cup ⚽️🍻..

The vibes on Saturday have been fantastic, the beer garden was packed & we all have been enjoying it, let’s do so again this Wednesday!
