It’s a flippin huge day for sport tomorrow so as usual - we’ve got ye!! Doors open at 10.30 for the Ireland v Japan game. All the rugby throughout the day with the Mayo v Louth game at 6pm ending of with the England v Norway game. Jaysus, we’ll all need a wee shot to get through that lot. Slainte ☘️

It’s tricky when the World Cup comes along every 4 years and disrupts everything that we work hard and plan for very single day, but here we are the on the eve of the of the World Cup quarter finals and England are inexplicably still in this thing, so we can’t help but support that! The live music will be starting slightly earlier in the venue. Pre match chit chat on in the front bar then anyone staying for the game can watch in the venue after the bands wrap up. There may be a slight delay while the stage is cleared etc, and all the gig audience may well stay and watch it. Who knows, do wizards like football? Thaumblast?? 🧙‍♂️🔮⚽️🍻

Let it be known, our show this Saturday at Duffy's Bar is being drawn inexorably forward through the fabric of time itself! Due to an event of sporting significance taking place at 10pm, our minions have advised we adjust our performance schedule, to avoid unwarranted confliction with the powers that be. Therefore, we shall be opening the gates as the clocks strike six, with the mighty Black Annis heralding the evening at the crack of six thirty, followed by the indomitable Mysticist, with Dystopian Sun closing the night before the unwashed masses rush off to watch this aforementioned football extravaganza. Too early for ya? Just think of how much more drinking you can get done in that one precious hour!! See you there, and may the glory of Thaumblast be with you!
