🎀🩷 SHE’S FINALLY HERE — WELCOME TO THE ROYAL STANDARD FAMILY, ROSIE! 🩷🎀

After what feels like the longest few weeks ever, we can finally share the news we’ve all been waiting for…

🌸 Our beautiful Rosie May is finally here! 🌸

After FOUR DAYS of labour and eventually needing major surgery to get our little lady safely into the world, she has finally arrived — and she is absolutely perfect. 🥹🩷

So, to all our amazing customers, friends and extended pub family, we would officially like to introduce you to the newest member of The Royal Standard family! 👶🏼🍻

Don’t worry… she’s already been told she’s got a job waiting for her behind the bar in 18 years. 😂😂 Although knowing Rosie, she’ll probably be trying to take over the place long before then!

As for me, your favourite (and obviously best 😉) landlady in Leicester, I’ll be disappearing for a few weeks while I recover, enjoy those newborn cuddles and settle into life with our newest little boss. 🩷

BUT NOTHING CHANGES AT THE ROYAL STANDARD!

It’s still the same old Royal Standard we all know and love — the brilliant girls behind the bar, karaoke, entertainment, laughs, madness and everything else that makes our little pub what it is. 🍻🎤🎶

So PLEASE keep popping in, supporting the girls, having a laugh and helping us continue to watch The Royal Standard grow. ❤️

🥂 TODAY MARKS TWO YEARS OF US — THE ROYAL STANDARD FAMILY! 🥂

Two years of not giving up.
Two years of tears, laughter, stress, smiles, chaos and some absolutely amazing memories. ❤️

People sometimes think running a pub is easy… trust me, it most definitely isn’t! 😂 There have been days when I’ve wondered what on earth I’m doing, but then I look around at the family we’ve created and remember exactly why we do it.

Over these two years, people have come and gone. We’ve sadly lost some very special people who should still be here with us. 💔 Some have moved away, some have changed their lifestyles and some we simply don’t see as often anymore.

But please know — you are not forgotten.

Every single person who has walked through our doors and become part of our little Royal Standard family has helped make this pub what it is today. The memories we’ve made over these last two years will always be part of us.

And to all the new faces joining our madness… hopefully you’re ready for another two years of US! 😂❤️

Today isn’t just about me or about owning a pub.

It’s about THE ROYAL STANDARD FAMILY and what WE have all created together. 🍻

So here’s to the last two years — the good, the bad, the tears, the laughter and everything in between…

📌 WHAT’S ON THIS WEEK AT THE ROYAL STANDARD! 🍻🎉

The football is back! ⚽️ Over the next couple of weeks we’ll be seeing more and more games return, and you can catch all the action right here at The Royal Standard.

Here’s what’s coming up…

🍻 Monday – Monday Club with Ebony. A great way to kick-start the week with good company and a few laughs!

🎤 Thursday – The weekend starts here! DJ Mark takes over from 6pm with the karaoke, party tunes and the usual Thursday madness.

🕺 Friday – Our 2nd Anniversary Celebrations begin with an 80s Party Night! Dig out those retro classics and join us for a night full of nostalgia.

🎶 Saturday – The celebrations continue with an 80s, Northern Soul & Motown Afternoon from 4pm, before Daisy & The Pistols take to the stage live from 8pm. It’s going to be a fantastic day and night!

🎙️ Sunday – Wind the weekend down with our relaxed Sunday karaoke. A chilled evening before the working week begins… if you can drag yourself home! 😉

Well, Sunday has come around fast… and haven’t we got a treat in store! 🍻

This morning, come and cheer on Mother as she steps behind the bar for the very first time! Will she make the cut? 😂

Then from 6pm, it’s the A-Team taking over as Mark & Lorna bring you another fantastic evening of regular karaoke. Great music, plenty of laughs, and the perfect way to round off the weekend.
