Come and try the 2026 World’s Best L***r!!

Coming to The Castle next week, Bavik Super Pils will be featured on our craft wall, and will then be staying for the next few weeks.
Come by on Thursday for a free taste - and let’s put the “world’s best” to the test!
Come and try all 3 of our la**rs in their different European signature styles, vote which you prefer, and we’ll publish the results on our story.
£10 for a half pint of Cruzcampo, a bottle of the Augustiner L***rbier Hell, and half a pint of 2026’s Best L***r in the world: Bavik!

Our featured Spotlight Brewery this month is Castle Rock and we’ll be hosting a rotation of their many ales, and showcasing some of their kegs on our Select Kegs craft wall.

Come and enjoy a pint with a locally baked cob, freshly made daily, an in-house-homemade sausage roll, or one of our MASSIVE scotch eggs - with a big shout out to our butcher and local meat supplier Glenn Lewin Butchers

Many more short eats, hot sandwiches, and bowl foods available from our coffee and lunch shop, the Hand & Bowl Deli, just next door!

Coffee roasters, meat butchers, bread bakers, veg growers, w**e suppliers, b**r brewers: as much as we can, all sourced from other small local businesses. From the price of your pint, a little bit goes to all of these other local and family, British businesses.

Exciting times….! We’re opening another pub!

The rumours are true…! Yesterday, we completed on a 10 Year Lease on The White Horse Inn at Seagrave - completely free of tie so allows us to fully express our Benjamin Pimlico magic in this great new venue that we’re proud to bring back to life after it being shut since September last year.

You can expect pretty much the same as what you get at the White Hart & The Castle, but in a more serene & peaceful rural setting.

Doors open mid August…. Follow us for updates.

Think… if this lovely ancient street was, say, pedestrianised… we could do THIS every week.

Community building, supporting local live music, local businesses and breweries, and celebrating this beautiful city and its history- plus raising money for Rainbow’s Children’s Hospice.
