Its been a while since we last posted, we've been busy busy busy!

A reminder than we are the closest pub to the Roaches Rock formation, only 5 minutes drive from Leek & are serving pub food all day today from 12pm, indeed we serve food all day every day we are open.

Everything on our menu is home made: pies, lasagne, burgers etc and all meats are locally sourced from our Peak District butcher & fish coming in daily from the coast via Manchester fish market.

Supporting small family owned and run businesses as opposed to big chains is important for the national and local economy so please don't forget about us or indeed other worthy pubs.

Traffic Update: Lorry breakdown on the A53 heading to/from Buxton with oil leak. Access to us from Leek is currently unaffected at the time of writing this but police have suggested they may close the whole A53 road so expect to see a lot of road closed signs as per usual, rather an extreme and devastating action for local business given its only a small section affected, no through access signs would probably be better rather than road closed signs a mile back? Just our opinion
