We get so many amazing musicians, comedians, poets, and artists through our doors every single weekend to perform or even just come for a pint, and we wanna know how they get in the zone - what rituals and habits they use to create and perform.

We had a chat with Edinburgh Fringe Best Newcomer Nominee, BBC New Comedy Awards Finalist, and Manchester Fringe Comedian of the Year the other week after she performed a show on the closing run of her debut show Slob to find out just how she does it.

Beautiful piece in the Guardian today on Ferg’s Imaginary Big Band

A beautiful, special group of people doing something important. “With a punkish, antifascist take on the trad jazz sound of Duke Ellington, this noisy outfit are epic in every way” writes Hugh Morris and we agree

It’s important musically but also something bigger. The band smacks of the kind of community we all work to foster in Leeds, with shoutouts to The Brudenell, Domino, Eiger & The Attic. A group of people from all over that help make our city what it is

When my (Jack’s) daughter was born, Ferg’s music was some of the first she heard, less than a week old, maybe in the first couple of days, as soon as we got home.

A band of good people symbolising what community can really be. Check the record out and support TRASH CITY RECORDS
