It’s come to that time of the year again and we are looking at taking on a new member of staff in the coming weeks as we will be losing Josh to the bright lights of Newcastle and university…..
So firstly we want to thank Josh for his hard work over the last few years and wish him
Good luck at Uni 👏🏻👏🏻

Its looking like 2 shifts, with the flexibility to cover shifts during the week, but atm we’re looking at Wednesday 5-7:45, Thursday 5-7:45.

Simply come in (yourself not your parents!! 🤣) and have a quick introduction if you’re looking for a bit of extra ££ and we’ll go from there

16+ and while all training will be given it helps if you can talk to customers and can have a laugh with them too 😄

The reality of Leeds fest weekend…..

For us, simply- why pay the stupid prices up at the festival when were right on the doorstep and you can grab it before you go 👍🏻

While it’s on, simply, don’t forget your local shops, takeaways, pubs, and the like… the lifeblood of a thriving community.

We can only speak for ourselves in that we stay open our usual hours over the ‘Leeds fest week’ and all routes to us are open as normal

We’ve had loadsa people asking about the wood we used to get and the lads have sourced and delivered some…..

Big bags are £5
Little bags are £3

ATM we’ve a few bags in but if you’re wanting more call in, tell us how many and leave a number and I can get the lads to source it for you

Well who’s got that Friday feeling?!?!?

Fish and chips with lashings o’ salt and vinegar,

What do you have with yours? Peas? Curry sauce?

Do you eat in on the way home or do you have a warm plate ready to dish it out once you get in?

Everyone eats them differently but all we ask is you come get them from us here in shadwell…. Freshly cooked and piping hot as expected

We are open as usual!!!!!

Even tho the roadworks go upto and over us it seems you can still get to us down main street (from The lion) but if you’re coming from the school/Thorner side of the village you’re best coming down via The Ego entrance/Gateland lane way

The Road does say closed but you can come all
The way down to the fish shop virtually.

Just please be considerate when parking 👍🏻

We believe this is only for today and tomorrow.

We’re open as usual tonight….. 😉⚽️

Although it’s self service after 7pm as there’s something on the telly we all wanna watch

Kinda like an honesty box situation, I’ll pre make the batter so you can just ‘throw in’ your fish and the chips- well just put in what you like and be honest with the portion sizes

The tricky thing is the boxes so I’ll make a few up for you- it’ll save you the time and effort even half the lads struggle to make them
Up who work here

Just once you’ve boxed up if you can have a little wipe down so that it’s not too untidy tomorrow that’d be lovely as it may be a late night 😉

Last one out, can you turn the lights off and pull the door closed-that’d be awfully kind of you

Well we’ve made it into work today, we’ve nog called in ‘sick’ and we’re serving the best of British in our finest Fish and Chips so make amends to the partner for asking them up after Harry’ penalty and we’ll save you from cooking

Open 11:30-1:30 and then 4:00-7:30
