We are back with a bang!🥳

This Friday we have a local history drop in in the cafe. Join OPAL member Agnes and look over her many fantastic books on the history of LS16 and Leeds. It's going to be a great morning to discover all about our wonderful area and our community over the last 200yrs!

Then we are gearing up for our HUGE Welcome In Community Party. September 12th 11am til 2pm.

We have it all! Bbq, fundraising fun stalls, a fantastic raffle, the biggest tombola known to LS16, dance performers, African drumming sessions, local fire and police crews. And a very special performance by our friend Josan Minmanero The Amazing Ukrainian Tenor🤯

This is one you really can't miss out coming to!

So come over and help us raise some money for the centre and OPAL 😊

*Please note there is no parking on site September 12th due to the many fundraising stalls and emergency vehicles visiting us!!! Plenty of parking around the centre though!

We may have been closed last week but we certainly weren't on holiday!

A full kitchen refurb with new windows and equipment. And a make over out front in the Welcome In Community Centre & Cafe cafe! The whole place is looking amazing!

Then some staff and volunteers headed to Leeds Festival overseeing a hub in the Green campsite, helping the festival go ers with any problems they might have.....24/7!!! 🤯😵‍💫

We raised £500 in donations. Made approx 400 pot noodles. inflated 110 airbeds and even helped film a deodorant advert. And of course we managed to squeeze in some acts.

What a busy and super productive week we've had.🥳

And the best news....We will be back open tomorrow at 9am!

Tomorrow at the Welcome In Community Centre & Cafe Our 2nd Car Meet!

Last time brought us some classic Triumphs, Minis, Porches, Mustangs and even a Dodge Charger!

What will tomorrow bring? Well you'll just have to join us tomorrow from 5pm to find out!

Cafe open serving hot food, cakes and refreshments from 5pm until 7.30.

AND....Our famous giant Scalextric track WILL be inside! 🏎🏁

Parking on site for "show cars" only but plenty of parking off site!

A beautiful afternoon for our Monday Memory Support Grp to enjoy an afternoon tea on our patio in the sunshine.

The paddling pool was well used for cooling hot feet 😀
