MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER π§‘
In September 2018, I took over a cafe in Headingley with the aim of making craft accessible to more people. We built a community of makers hosting workshops and running fairs while serving coffee and cake.
Since then the journey continued. In July 2021, we moved away from our Headingley cafe and into a studio above Kirkgate Market in Leeds City Centre.
Workshop has grown and evolved, but we've always been a small team and as times have changed, things are now run by just me.
As things have evolved for Workshop, things have changed for me too. While I love everything that Workshop has done for me and the crafting community, it's now time for a change. We're moving out of our studio and with this, I've decided to move the business to being mostly online to allow me the time to pursue other activities.
So how will things change?
𧑠We will no longer be teaching workshops. If you have a workshop booked with us, that will run however we won't be adding any new dates.
𧑠This is the same for online workshops too. We have several classes that are still open for booking, but the dates shown online will be the only ones we run. If you've been wanting to book a workshop, make sure you secure your place on this.
𧑠We will continue to sell digital patterns, however paper patterns will no longer be available once we've sold through existing stock. This is all still reduced by 50%.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported Workshop in its various forms and who continues to do so. We've built an amazing community and I'm so grateful to every single one of you for it.
Over the next few months, we'll be looking to sell our sewing machines and overlockers. If you're interested in buying these please email [email protected] and I'll add you to the mailing list for when these go on sale.
