Thought it was about time I gave an update on the Good Cup, firstly say a big thank you. We’ve raised over £200 so far that has gone straight to the chosen cause - a Kindergarten in Gaza.
It has gone directly to the local people running the Kindergarten and has made a huge difference.
It has provided much needed money to fund not just the day to day running of the Kindergarten, feeding the children, stationary, books and even some new clothes for Eid, but also dealing with the significant external challenges it faces. Last month some storms flattened the whole kindergarten and it has not only been rebuilt but has been extended with another classroom, new floor and benches and now has a new metal roof!
The project continues to grow with over 160 kids now using the kindergarten and getting a much needed space to learn, eat and to play together. World events seem to be more harrowing than ever and all the noise and information sometimes make it hard to know what we can do to help. With this small locally led project we’ve found a cause making a real difference in one small part of the world so while it’s still needed we’ll continue to keep raising funds to support it, with all proceeds from our Good Cup going to the cause.
Thanks again for the support, the Good Cup is currently a chai latte with toasted cinnamon coconut. Look out for a new one as we do some iced offerings for the summer months.
